Hey !!👋

I had an amazing week meeting some amazing people in the education space.

Let me start with,

Angela De Becker is a world-schooling mom, she has been traveling with her kids. She is passionate about learning and living in different cultures, having meaningful experiences, exploring the world through local eyes, living locally, and immersing in nature.

Angela takes her kids to off-the-beaten-path places by using a combination of slow travel, homestays, volunteering projects, educational programs, and more. She encourages them to take part in different activities during their journeys and be open to new experiences. Through her travels, Angela not only teaches her children about the world but also helps them to grow and develop skills that will benefit them for life.

Angela has experienced many amazing places throughout her travels, including Mexico, Turkey, Bansko etc. Angela believes in living life to the fullest, and she hopes that by visiting unique places she can help build a positive connection between cultures. She believes this will help her children develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for other cultures.

She realized that traditional schooling was not enough for them, so she tailored their learning style to include new forms of technology, such as apps, websites, and online courses. Read more about her world schooling journey in the blog below

Meet Sathish Bala, Founder of Schoolio, building resources for schools and students to learn from anywhere.

He is someone who comes from a traditional schooling system but sees the need to change with time. He believes that the more we embrace digital ways of learning, the better it is for students and their families.

Sathish believes that all children have a right to learn and have access to quality education no matter where they belong. His mission is to make sure that children who are unable to attend school in person can still get the same learning opportunities.

He started Schoolio to bring the world’s best teaching resources and tools together in one place so that every student can access them easily.

Founder of Livada, Jad El Jamous, and Alexandra - creating a tool to help parents plan their finances and think long-term. Livada is an enrichment planner that helps parents map out the skills and interests of their children and find the most suitable activities to help them develop.

Jad and Alexandra believe that learning should be an adventure and that parents should give their kids the freedom to discover their passions in life. They created Livada with this purpose in mind, he wanted to make it easier for parents to easily identify what would interest their child and where they should look for it.

Matt Barnes Parent coach and Founder of the education game. he assessed our learning path and gave us some amazing ideas to move forward on our journey.

Matt believes in giving parents the power to make educated decisions when it comes to their children's learning.

Matt believes that parents should be more involved in their child’s life and create an environment of learning. He gives parents the tools to help them build a strong parent-child bond, where they can work together as a team.

Vineet Srivastava is building Wibyte to help kids on their coding journey.

Vineet created Wibyte to help children learn the basics of coding in an interactive and fun way. He believes learning should be done through exploration and play and this is what his platform helps kids do. I can't wait for Adi to explore the platform and learn from him.

These people have been a major source of inspiration for us on our journey. All these parents and entrepreneurs are striving to create something that will make the world a better place for our children.

We have so much respect for them, their work, and their dedication to making education more accessible to all.

Their stories give us hope and courage to continue on our own journey of alternate schooling.

So if you’re looking for a new way to learn, or want to support parents and entrepreneurs who are working hard to make the world a better place, then don't hesitate to reach out and lend a hand! Together we can make a difference.!!

Learning Zone

Adi has finally completed the gaming wheel he was making for his video games. He has been working on this for a couple of weeks. He had almost given up hope but managed to pull it off in the end.

He is excited about finally being able to play his video games with a new level of realism and immersion. Adi hopes that this gaming wheel will help take his gaming experience to the next level!

He knows there will be a learning curve, but he's determined to rise above it and become the best gamer he can be. Adi has never been so excited about gaming!

Here is a video of his creation.

Conscious Bonding

Bonding over Slow Parenting

It's not easy to quit the hustle mindset and embrace slow parenting, but we believe it’s worth it. I have found that taking a slower approach to parenting has given me the time and energy to invest in my son's well-being. We are spending more quality time together, exploring new things, and getting to know each other.

It's not just about taking your children out of school and traveling, but also about creating a learning environment that fosters curiosity, encourages exploration, and allows children to develop their ideas about the world.

Slow parenting has allowed me to make conscious decisions on how I want to parent my son. We’re taking our time to understand what we like, what skills he needs to build, and what he’s interested in learning on his own.

I’m still learning, but this approach has opened up so many new doors for us and has been incredibly rewarding. I'm excited to see how our journey unfolds as we continue down this path!

Slow parenting is a wonderful way to ensure that parents and children can bond and explore together. It allows parents to be more involved in their child’s life, creating a trusting relationship that can last for years to come. We have found it incredibly gratifying and hope you will too!
