Future of Living

Studies have shown that learning in diverse groups offers a multitude of benefits.

By interacting with individuals from various backgrounds, young people gain a broader view of the world and develop empathy and respect for others.

This exposure helps them appreciate the strengths that each person brings to the table, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Furthermore, engaging with diverse peers allows young people to challenge their assumptions and biases.

It encourages critical thinking and opens doors to new ideas and possibilities. By embracing diversity early, we equip our youth with essential skills for success in a rapidly changing world.

I was talking to Maya, a worldschooler, and within seconds, we could share so much about our culture and food very casually.

It was so natural to share about our culture instead of putting that pressure on others to answer my questions. It is no secret that our world is becoming increasingly interconnected and diverse.

Interacting with peers from different backgrounds helps foster cultural intelligence, which is the ability to understand, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultures.

Worldschooling, at its core, is the idea of taking your education on the road by traveling around the world and learning through experience and exploration.

It is a way to gain knowledge about different cultures and countries while gaining an understanding of how people interact with one another across borders. Read more here

Future of Learning

Adi, my son, has been on a self-learning journey since the beginning of the pandemic. It's nice to see him grow in his learning journey.

One of the critical advantages of self-learning is that it allows individuals like Adi to learn at their own pace.

This means they can spend extra time on topics that they find challenging and move quickly through concepts that are easier to grasp.

This personalized approach to learning helps individuals like Adi build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, which can be applied in various aspects of their lives.

For long, we have been made to believe that classroom learning is the only way to gain knowledge and skills.

However, self-learning has proven to be just as effective, if not more. With self-learning, individuals can take charge of their learning process and make decisions based on their interests and goals.

This level of autonomy can significantly enhance one's motivation and engagement in the learning process.

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.

Building Skills

Young people want to be independent and avoid getting stuck with college degrees, mortgages, and loans.

They want to see the world, explore new cultures, learn new languages, and experience life fully.

They want to learn the skills to elevate their career and personal growth. This desire for independence and change drives them to seek new experiences and challenges.

Many young people today have realized there may be better options for achieving their goals than traditional education systems.

They understand there are numerous ways to learn and gain knowledge besides a formal degree.

With technological advancements and access to information, they can acquire skills and knowledge through various online courses, workshops, internships, and self-study.

The VA program in Albania by the MaNaBu Movement is helping young people to skill up and gain hands-on experience in various fields.

Through this program, participants can learn skills and techniques that can be applied in the real world, gaining valuable experience and networking opportunities.

Here is what students who attended the program had to say
