Purposeful Living in 2023: A Journey Beyond Classrooms
Reflecting on 2023 was an exhilarating journey for my son Adi and me.
Instead of adhering to the conventional classroom routine, we transformed the world into our learning space.
Our travels took us to new places, and in the process, we forged meaningful connections and collaborations.
Adding purpose to our endeavours provided a unique perspective on life.
When a more profound sense of purpose guides your choices, you embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Choosing a path that diverges from the norm may seem slow initially, but you encounter a community that understands and trusts your unique journey along the way.
It's a testament to the richness of experiences when you decide to live a life fueled by purpose.
The most loved word I caught this year is life-centric from Andreas Wil Gerdes, creating a life you do not want to escape.
“There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you, and there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.”
Future of Learning
Schools have a particular way of telling us to learn, a structured system that, let's face it, doesn't resonate with everyone.
In reality, learning is everywhere. It's in how we keep ourselves and communicate with others, the art of cooking, the moments of doing absolutely nothing, and the intricate process of making friends.
It's how we plan, sometimes stumble, make choices, and explore our unique learning journey.
But here's the catch – this kind of learning happens when we are free to be ourselves.
In the internet age, we're spoiled for choice regarding learning resources.
The best materials are at our fingertips, waiting to be explored and absorbed. However, a key element makes all the difference – our intention.
Setting the right intention transforms the way we engage with online content. It's about having a clear purpose and goal for our learning journey.
Equally important is connecting with the right people. Finding individuals who resonate with our interests and aspirations in this vast digital landscape adds a valuable dimension to our learning experience.
These connections foster collaboration, shared insights, and a sense of community that enhances learning.
After our travels and explorations, my son shared a profound reflection, stating, "The world is my home," when asked about his home.
