Hello All,

Today, I want to share a fantastic song by Rabindra Nath Tagore called Ekla Chalo Re (Walk Alone), which has a philosophical and spiritual meaning.

The song encourages the listener to have the courage to follow their path, even if it means walking alone.

This song was composed as "Ekla Chalo Re". It was written in Giridih, a town in modern-day Jharkhand, India. It was one of the 22 protest songs written during the Swadeshi period of the Indian freedom movement, and it became one of the essential songs for the Anti-Partition Movement in the Bengal Presidency in 1905.

The song encourages the listener to continue their journey despite abandonment or lack of support from others. It is often quoted in the context of sociopolitical change movements and was a favourite of Mahatma Gandhi. - Wikipedia

Jodi tor dak sune keu na ashe,
Tobe ekla cholo, ekla chalo, aekla chalo re,
Aikla cholo re,

If no one answers your call,
Then walk alone,
(be not afraid) walk alone my friend.

Jodi kue kotha na koe,
ore o re o obaghaga, keu kotha na koe
Jodi sobai thake muhk phirae , sobai kore bhoye,
Tobe poran khule,
O tui, mukh phute tor moner kotha,
Ekla bolo re

If no one talks to you,
O my unlucky friend, if no one speaks to you,
If everyone looks the other way and everyone is afraid,
Then bare your soul and let out what is in your mind,
(be not afraid) Speak alone my friend.

Jab kali ghata chaye,
Ore o re o andhera sach ko nigal jaye
Jab duniya sari, dar ke age sar apna jhukaye,
Tu shola banja, Wo shola banja, Jo khud jal ke jahan raushan karde,
Ekla jalo re.

When dark clouds cover the sky, When darkness engulfs the truth,
When the world cowers and bows before fear,
You be the flame, The flame that burns you and banishes darkness from the world,
(be not afraid) Burn alone my friend.

Adi: Ma, Why do you think of the song now and want to share it with others?

The song is compelling and relatable to all of us for various reasons. We have made certain decisions, like leaving things that did not serve a purpose; we chose a unique learning path that differed from others.

Sometimes, we may feel misunderstood for not following others' opinions, but what truly matters is how we think.

We must delve deep and search for the reasons behind our feelings.

Any learning or living we take might look different from others, but we need to trust ourselves and keep walking.
