Hello All,
Adi and I are in Jaipur as I write this newsletter.
I was thinking about how our society and our lifestyle require us to be too organised to have free play.
We are following schedules, and routines, we are all rushing.
We are making kids rush till they are exhausted.
They hardly have any energy left to pursue things they want to.
We are always driven by the pressure to perform and we extend this fear to our kids.
Let kids be free if you want to see what kids are good at.
“Trustful parents enjoy their kids; they don’t think of them as their “project.”― Peter O. Gray

Chilling with an unschooling family
Adi and I had a wonderful time in Dharamshala, Himachal, with a family that practices unschooling.
The children were self-directed learners, fully engaged in exploring their interests.
They were cooking, learning independently, and taking care of their household responsibilities.
It made us wonder: what could school teach them that they weren't already learning on their own?
Self-education through play and exploration requires enormous amounts of unscheduled time—time to do whatever one wants to do, without pressure, judgment, or intrusion from authority figures. ― Peter O. Gray

t's a place where you can spend time with incredible individuals who resonate with your spirit, and engage in deep, spiritual conversations with someone like Ayush Ghai, who can address your most profound dilemmas.
During our time at Life Maker, we experienced just this. We connected with the local community, spending quality time with kids, and working with the villagers.
It was a journey of self-discovery, community, and reflection, set against breathtaking natural beauty.
