The story you don’t know
As I shared last week, a video of my son sharing his project went viral.
People were amazed to see a 10-year-old coding and using AI with confidence.
Adi’s story was featured everywhere in no time, but no one took the time to understand how this 10-year-old developed such advanced skills.
So here’s the background no one bothered to ask about:
Adi has always been drawn to tech and mechanics. Even at a very young age, he loved playing with cars, trying to understand how they worked.
When he was just 5 years old, he started exploring block coding through platforms like Code.org.
Soon after, he began creating small projects using Scratch, nurturing his interest in building something from scratch—literally.
In the last two years, Adi started exploring Flutter, a framework that allowed him to create more complex applications.
He built small but functional apps like a to-do list app and a shopping cart app.
His interest in tech kept growing, and now he loves diving into the world of AI, creating apps with tools like ChatGPT and Cursor AI.

What If?
Elon Musk had not started learning to code in his early years.
the trajectory of his career would likely have been significantly different.
Here are a few potential outcomes:
A Different Path in Technology: Without this foundation, he might have pursued a different career path, perhaps in finance or engineering.
Less Influence on Tech Industry: Musk's companies, like Tesla and SpaceX, have had a profound impact on the tech industry. He might not have been as involved in shaping these industries.
Fewer Disruptive Innovations: Musk's entrepreneurial ventures often involve pushing the boundaries of technology. Without this expertise, he might have been less able to drive disruptive innovation.
A Different Approach to Leadership: Without his coding background, he might have approached leadership differently, potentially impacting the success of his companies.
Elon Musk began learning to code at age 10 on a Commodore VIC-20 computer.
He taught himself how to use the computer's basic programming language.
At age 12, he created a video game called Blastar and sold the source code to a computer magazine for $500.
It’s never too early to work on things you love.
Just because others are not doing does not mean it cannot be done.
